    Kendal, Cumbria. M/S as the royal car draws up outside "K" shoe factory in Kendal and the Duchess of York (Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother) steps out followed by Prince Albert, Duke of York (later King George VI). They shake hands with an official. M/S interior of the factory, they meet the workers and Miss Mary Robinson gives the Duchess a bouquet, she is the oldest woman employee. M/S as they walk around the factory and the Duchess shows interest in what they are doing. M/S as they leave and wave to the crowd.

    Chislehurst, Greater London. A demonstration of what to do in a gas attack. M/S of a woman in a gas mask, she waves a rattle. M/S as four other women from the Voluntary Ambulance Driver (VAD) get their masks out and put them on quickly. Various shots as they attend to the victims and carry them on stretchers to the caves.

    France. Various shots of a new streamlined train from the PLM (Paris-Lyons-Mediterranean Railway) Company which can do 94 miles an hour without impairing steadiness or comfort, it speeds down the track. M/S of driver and fireman. Various shots of it racing down the track.

    London. Various shots of the officers and men of H.M.A.S. "Australia" marching along. Various shots as the sailors enter the Guildhall. M/S as the carriage of Lord Mayor Sir Stephen Killik draws up. M/S as he gets out and enters for a lunch with them.

    Various shots of people getting on an aeroplane, they include Sir John Simon and Ramsay MacDonald. The door is shut and they taxi and take off for Stresa in Italy where they will discuss German rearmament.

    Note: the soundtracks to the last four items are missing. The item 'Naples Mock Air Raid' is missing from this edition.
