    Intertitle - 'Radlett' (Hertfordshire) - M/S of Mrs R. Forbes the Lady Mayoress of Harrow stood on a platform in front of a new Handley Page heavy bomber. C/U of its name "Harrow". M/S as she christens the aeroplane with a little speech, she cuts the ribbon and bottle of champagne smashes on the nose. M/S as the aeroplane taxis along, the propellor starts up. The camera pans across it. It is one of the first machines to be built on mass production lines. M/S of factory at Cricklewood where they are assembling the aircraft.

    Intertitle - 'New Brunswick' (Connecticut, America, USA) - L/S of river with engineers standing around. They want to lay a new pipeline without digging so they are going to blow it up. M/S of a row of pipes in the river. M/S as they drop dynamite in them and push it down. M/S as a group of men stand by the detonator, one gives the signal. L/S of huge explosion along the river.

    The bomber aircraft being christened is a Handley Page HP54 Harrow, (Serial Number K6933).

    The ceremony can be seen in more detail in clip 552.01.
