    News in a Nutshell.

    Intertitle - 'Italy' - Various shots of a new aeroplane, the Jona J-6, which has an upper wing that swivels to help the pilot make the turn. M/S of the upper wing swaying. Various shots as the pilot flies the aeroplane.

    Intertitle - 'Aldershot' (Hampshire) - M/S of army men in physical training, they are each holding an ash pole which they use to do stretching exercises and build up their muscles. Various shots as they do exercises with the poles including vaulting and sit-ups. Various shots of schoolchildren, the army are touring schools teaching them the new training methods.

    Intertitle - 'Brooklands' (Surrey) - Various shots of motorcycles waiting to start the race for the Hutchinson Challenge Cup. The flag is waved and they race away. Various shots as they speed around the circuit. S. H. Goddard wins and the chequered flag is waved. M/S of him on his motorcycle after the race.

    Intertitle - 'Attleborough' (Norfolk) - Christmas turkeys. M/S of turkeys jumping out of a truck, various shots of the turkeys all running along together. M/S of two dead ones being sold. M/S of the turkeys crammed together in pens. M/S as auctioneer asks for bids and people stand around and view them.

    Intertitle - 'Great Yarmouth' (Norfolk) - Various shots of herring fleet returning to the port. L/S of barrels on the quay, M/S people on dockside. M/S of fishing boat. M/S of catch poured into basket.

    Intertitle - 'Spain' (Burgos) - M/S of Franco's troops marching along followed by young boys, various shots of them drilling in preparation for more fighting.

    The aircraft shown is a Jona J-6, an experimental Italian sesquiplane (a variation on the biplane, where one wing is smaller than the other).

    The film of the Spanish troops marching is taken in the city of Burgos, headquarters of Franco's forces.
