Crowds gather round and Mayor Wagner, Cardinal Spellman and Robert Moses take part in the ribbon cutting ceremony and also the man who designed the bridge, 85 year old Othmar Ammann. VS. The people in their cars and police motor cycles being first to cross the bridge. VS. Cars passing through toll gate to go onto bridge. GV. Traffic jam on and approaching the bridge for the people who want to cross the bridge first day, good American traffic jam. LS. At dusk of Statue of Liberty and pan to show the new bridge. GV.
