• Short Summary

Great story shows film star Lana Turner having her gorgeous golden locks cut and set.

  • Description

Titles read: "NEW HAIR-DO [sic]" (Dublin issue).

Probably Hollywood, California, United States of America.

Various shots of glamorous film star Lana Turner sitting in a chair and having her beautiful blonde hair cut and set in a new style.

Her shoulder-length hair is razor cut, then set with curls heaped up on the left side of the crown and at the sides. The hairdresser (could be Sydney Guillaroff, who was a top hairdresser at Lana's studio, MGM) removes the pins from her curls with a magnet. Lana has a go with the magnet and laughs.

When the pins have all been removed, the hairdresser takes away the cover to reveal Lana's glorious black tulle evening gown (well, the shoulders and neckline). Lana combs her hair then turns her head to show off the new 'do'. Isn't she gorgeous?
