GV. Featherweight boxing contest between Teddy Peckham from Bournemouth and Jimmy Black from Trinidad. This is a traditional evening dress meeting of National Sporting Club (N.S.C.). SV. CU. Baines, cameraman in evening dress smoking a large Havana. SV. Peckham swings a right to Black's jaw - they size one and other up and Black leads with a few left jabs. Peckham ducks to avoid a vicious left from Black. They size up. SV. Black leads with a left, followed by a left and works Peckham into the centre of the ring where they both exchange blows and go into a clinch. CU. Boxer in clinch, Peckham forces Black away on the cut. SV. Peckham gives a left and a right but Black ducks and comes in with a left to the body. CU. People watching. SV. Bell goes just as Peckham takes a left hook at Black. They part and go to their corners. CU. People in evening dress at ringside. SV. Both boxers come out of their corners and exchange immediately a flurry of blows and go into a clinch. CU. Boxers in clinch giving one another a few body blows. CU. Charles Forte watching. SV. Boxers exchange blows and break, both give and take punishment. Peckham dances back towards the ropes and Black comes in with an left uppercut, then swings a terrific left followed by a right uppercut which Peckham ducks. Immediately Black does another left and right but Peckham still manages to duck. SV. People in evening dress watching. SV. With a few left jabs Black again forces Peckham to the ropes. Black comes in with another terrific left which Peckham ducks and misses and they go into a clinch. CU. Time keeper rings bell. SV. Referee lifts Jimmy Black's hand as the winner.
