"Remember, years ago when the wily Conjuror used to wriggle his fingers about a small billiards ball, which multiplied and contracted most astonishingly." M/S of the magician (Mr Percy Rossiter) demonstrating a trick - pretty impressive. "And sometimes he'd even swallow one!" Percy opens his mouth, wiggles his tongue and swallows one of the balls. He wiggles his tongue again then appears to pull the billiards ball from his Adams Apple. "Just in case Father would like to mystify the youngsters as he used to be puzzled, Mr Rossiter showed us how to do it." C/U of Mr Rossiter's hands as he demonstrates the trick. There is a fake half ball which he manipulates, slipping it over the real balls. "The 'swallow' will probably be easiest for Father..!" C/U of Percy as he prepares to swallow the ball. He demonstrates his sleight of hand technique then smiles broadly at the camera.
