Foreshoremen at work: they rake back excess mud from banks of the Thames.
Mud shifters at River Thames, London.
Various shots of "foreshoremen" James and Reg Kendall at work on banks of Thames at Blackfriars Bridge. Their job is to rake the excess mud which banks up the shore whenever the tides recede. Their special rakes are named "looters". M/S the brothers trying to pull something out of deep, sticky mud. One of them gets stuck and begins to sink, the other pulls him out.
