Subtitle to main title reads "Whose dramatic performance in the play "If Winter Comes" at St. James's Theatre London is a great feature." Introductory intertitle reads: "Mark Sabre (Owen Nares) vehemently protest (sic) against the censure of the Coroner because he befriended poor Effie Bright." L/S of a stage set depicting a courtroom scene. Difficult to see exactly what is going on but it seems that the Coroner makes a pronouncement and those present in the courtroom stand up in shock. One man tries to attack another.

M/S of Owen Nares making his protest to the coroner as a policeman tries to hold him back. Much dramatic acting. C/U of Nares making an impassioned plea then holding his head in his hands. "But, in the last scene, Nona (Miss Barbara Hoffe) brings comfort to Mark when all others have deserted him - " M/S of Owen looking distressed as Barbara comes to comfort him. She crouches down and holds his hand. C/U of the couple, they speak passionately to each other. He breaks down when she says (I think!) "I love you!"
