    The boys from the Outward Bound Sea School based at Aberdyfi are being taught a lesson in mountaineering. L/S teenage boys being led by river and over it by Vernon Walker. C/U boys looking at map and compass. They begin walking again towards their goal, Bird Rock near Tywyn (sp? Towyn).

    L/S Bird Rock and then shots of boys and instructor beginning ascent. C/U instructor begins the ascent. C/U boys following. Some mistakes are rectified such as putting hands up in high position. C/U Bill Lloyd, one of the boys. Low angle shot of boys climbing (v/o re discipline in school - lads from all walks of life meet on an equal footing at the school). Good shots of boys at the summit looking out to the countryside below.

    II was on this film as a boy of 17-the one in red with dark hair and specs gazing into the distance at the end of the film. I will always remember the pathe photographer who went up this steep climb with black city shoes wielding a large camera. A brave (or foolhardy) man.
