I remember vividly the accident, I was nearly 11 years old and woken up by the sound of the aircraft, it flew between the houses from the direction of the Lady Magaret Pub and I could see the flight crew waving frantically as it decended it snapped the telephone line running from the houses I will all ways remember the sound it made. The plane then banked to the left and flew between the houses bent the old gas light and crashed into Kelvin gardens. My friend was killed in the accident, also my father and neighbour rushed round to help and try to rescue the people, but they left when the news crews arrived, as they did not want to be interviewed by anyone after this tragedy.
