    Mountaineering team making their way with difficulty up hill, using pickaxes to grip the icy slope, some carry heavy loads. LS climber. MS man turning key in lock and entering door, group of men enter. CU hand brushing snow from rope tied on railing. Man walks onto veranda of cabin & mounts a French flag on the railing. People sliding down hill in snow, having fun. CU man with pickaxe breaking ice next to cabin.

    CU man at desk, holding small speaker to his ear (receiving telegraph communication). CU clock pendulum swinging, separate small clock face counting seconds. CU clock, minute hand moves to 10:27. 9 men pose, standing in snow - probably expedition team.

    Wide shot 6 climbers roped together climbing glacier - great shot. Team walking with ominous looking craggy peaks sticking out of snow in background. Shot looking out over clouds. Mountaineers walking past, carrying heavy loads.

    Back outside cabin, boy arrives pulling small wagon with provisions, elderly man brings traps. Woman in masculine uniform unloads wagon, man wearing big apron unloads rabbits and guinea pigs from trap. Fenced yard containing crates. CU hand dropping rodent-type creatures into crates. Old man talking to woman. They walk to telescope, she looks through. Interior science laboratory showing test tubes & beakers. Telegraph operator. Clouds. Wide shot panning up side of mountain - glorious view.
