How Wonderful!
This is our Religious Community, the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement. It is wonderful to see the beginnings. We were founded in 1898 in the Hudson Valley in New York. We were originally an Episcopalian Community which promoted Christian Unity. Our Founder, Fr. Paul Wattson, SA, began the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in 1908 and entered into full communion with the Catholic Church in 1909. His cause for sainthood started this year, 2014. We also work with homeless and people suffering from addiction. We are still on the same mountain! Come and visit. Graymoor, Garrison, NY.
