Some fantastic stage frocks are modelled by the singer and actress José Collins.
"Miss José Collins allows us to peep at some of her frocks from "The Last Waltz" at the Gaiety." Introductory intertitle reads: "A queenly wedding dress of white georgette lavishly embroidered with diamante. The square sleeves support gleaming tassels"
M/S of José holding out her arms to show the back of her dress and its elaborate sleeves. She then turns and smiles at the camera. She spins and poses. "A gem from the third act - a cloak of green chiffon velvet. Richly embroidered and fur trimmed, it is lined with gold tissue. The frock beneath is of mimosa leaf green, gold embroidered).
José walks into shot then holds out her arms to display her ornate cloak. Much posing ensues. "But the cloak - and Miss Collins - got somewhat ill-treated when Bertram Wallis and Billy Leonard came upon the scene"
Rest of the item is missing. Presumably this section was reused in another film.
Was probably an Eve's Film Review item - issue unknown.
Note; Also spelt Jose Collins.
