M/S of a man spraying water out of a large hose over a valley, M/S of earth flying up with the water. M/S of a diagram showing the different layers under the ground with rock, ice and silt, then a layer of soil under grass and trees. M/S of channel running down to the bottom.

M/S of water spraying over the quarry again. M/S of crater left by the water with rock formations in between, the camera pans across the quarry, buckets go up on a conveyor belt, M/S to show the rock. Bits of rock pour off the end of the conveyor belt.
