Boys and their toys - various model boats are demonstrated.

Men in flat caps stand and admire their model boats. Various shots of the boats under sail. "Real craftsmen's craft - sailed by mariners in miniature." L/S of the boats - they could almost be real yachts way off in the distance. Camera follows one of the yachts as it sails into the side of the lake. Its owner lifts it from the water. A man stands on the side of the lake with a notebook - perhaps he is some kind of judge. A competition for model boats?
"Other places, other fancies." C/U of a man in a beret looking intently at his model boat which is called "Nickie II". This is a model speedboat. He tinkers with it. C/U of the engine. "London this time, with tiny crack motor boats that can reel off their 30 knots." M/S of men in galoshes standing knee deep in a boating lake. They set off their model motor boats. L/S of the river, lots of people stand and watch. Various shots of the boats and their excited owners. "Other fine models, too - " C/U of a model battleship. Camera follows the boat as it travels across the lake. Another model boat seen in C/U. "But, across the Channel we found the Grandpa of them all - a liner in miniature." M/S of a liner - looks real. Closer shots of it as it moves through the water. "Nearly 40 feet in length, it just looks like a giant liner steaming along." L/S of the model boat - it does look pretty realistic.
