    Various shots of British troops clearing a desert minefield. Mines are located by a hand held mine detector. It is carefully uncovered and defused.

    Men advance in a line prodding the sand cautiously with their bayonets to locate the mines. Close up shot as a mine is discovered with a bayonet point, cautiously uncovered and defused. Various shots as the troops continue to advance under shell fire. One man is hit but immediately replaced in line.

    Pan down from railway signal at stop to show the one shack station of Alamein with British and Australian troops resting in the shade.
