I was overjoyed to see this newsreel of my Great Great Uncle Alf. My late mother used to tell us many stories of his time in the Music Hall and the war. Most of the photos and news cuttings I had were lost a few years ago in a house move, so this was doubly exciting to see (along with the other film he appears in briefly) . Alf was born in Roche near St Austell in Cornwall whre I was born and still live. He lived with his sister Emily, my grandmother, most of his adult life. When he died he left his body for medical research, so that others might benefit in knowing what caused his short stature. He was, from all the stories I have been told, a true gentleman and comedian. THANK YOU so much for preserving this.
