    C/U of a smartly dressed elderly smashing a champagne bottle against the hull of the liner, several men in bowler hats rush to catch the broken bottle as it swings back towards it.

    L/S of the liner as it slides down an enormous ramp into the sea, we see the tiny figures of people rushing to get a view of the launch - highlights the magnitude of the ship.

    L/S of a steam tug boat tugging the vast liner out to sea.

    "Samara" in the clip's title should read Samaria.

    The launching seen here took place on 27 November 1920.
