A look at the work and influences of scientists through the ages .

    Various locations of events.

A man dressed to look like Archimedes walks onto a set (museum?) and looks at a scroll. Commentator says he invented the propellor and we see modern versions on a ship and aeroplane.

A man representing Roger Bacon appears in monk costume in a prison set. We are told he invented gunpowder and see an explosion in a quarry and fireworks. People on a hill fly model planes - Bacon investigated the theory of heavier than air flight.

In Faraday's laboratory we see the apparatus used by the scientist in electrical investigation. Shots to illustrate modern uses of electricity - a power station and motor car racing.

In the cabin of the ship Elettra we see a seaman using a radio set. Shots on the deck of inventor Marconi's yacht (he may be seen in one shot, but not recognised by this cataloguer). Shots of radio stations and aerials.
