    I would suggest that the shots are post war. There is a picture of Stalin being held high in the procession which would only have happened after the occupation of Poland (post War). The May Day parades were for the 'socialist workers', I believe.

    Someone has written in with a very good point - since Poland was under occupation, would such celebrations have been possible? Is this clip actually from the 1950s?
