  • Short Summary

Little girls in white do traditional dancing and prance around the maypole on May Day.

  • Description

    May Day.

    Location of events unknown.

Holidays. Group of young girls; between ages 8-12; come hopping / dancing toward camera (it looks quite funny, like Morris Dancing - SL). More children; adults; bare winter trees and large house in BG. Girls dance some more.

Then the May Pole is carried out by a woman or older girl. Group of really little girls - these ones probably about 4-7 - walk out around the pole as it's carried; hanging onto streamers and strings of roses. Children dance round Maypole as the older girl holds it. Someone is playing violin in background for the girls to dance to.
