    SV Crowd outside Winter Gardens, Margate where Conservatives Conference takes place. SCU Lord Woolton arriving. Mr R. A. (Rab) Butler, Chancellor of the exchequer, arrives. SV Mr and Mrs Anthony Eden arriving. LV & SV Winston Churchill delivers speech. Mr Christopher Soames seated over his shoulder. (nat. snd.) Churchill speech: "I am sure you are all relieved by the news from British Guiana. Sufficient forces to preserve (nat. snd.) peace and order have now been safely landed and indeed widely welcomed by the people they have come to protect............too late...(Mr Churchill takes a drink)..I don't often do that (laughter)

    Film abruptly ends here. Paperwork states that this film ends at the end of Mr Churchill's speech.
