  • Description

Many houses completely wrecked by landslide caused by excessive rain. Ebbw Vale, Wales.

Title frame: Many houses completely wrecked by landslide caused by excessive rain. Shot panning right of some children; both boys and girls; playing on a rocky; dirty; hill; houses on slope in BG. More kids stand in front of a two-story house; held up by supports; but with cracked wall. Shot looking down street with long buildings right up by the narrow walk; sidewalk is buckled in places; some of the squares sticking up a bit Lots of damage; destruction! Huge piles of rubble & ruins on a hillside where houses have collapsed-- looks like a bomb has struck!

More children stand on hill; in FG a few little girls are scattered among the broken stones; one of them proudly standing on top of one of the bigger ones like Queen of the mountain; several boys stand higher up the hill in BG. Pan left on girls staring at camera; the Queen of the Mountain goes running like a little tomboy through the rocks over to where some young boys are running up and down; next to the houses propped up with boards at a slant. Then front view of some more buildings; with piles of rocks in the front yards.
