At a small shutter factory in Mako where the famous Eslinger wooden blinds are made, the process from raw stock to the complete blind is shown at various stages of production. Workers wheel planks of wood in on a trolley. Carpenters cut the planks into narrower pieces on a machine lathe. The blind strats are laid on a workbench and holes drilled through for the cord. Women workers paint the blinds. Completed blinds are rolled up in cardboard packaging. Various shots, a plastic shutter is cut and assembled.
