This is almost certainly a 55 foot Thornycroft Coastal Moter Boat, CMB built for foreign navies between the two world wars.
Two 1938 boats Kuai 19 & 20 were bought back from the Chinese navy to supplement the 2nd MTB Flotilla in Hong Kong, being numbered MTBs 26 & 27.
26 took a direct hit and sank 19th December 1941 in Kowloon Harbour.
27 was scuttled in the early hours of 26th December 1941 off Nanao in Mirs Bay after a dramatic escape from Hong Kong with the legendary one legged Chinese Admiral Chan Chak.
