  • Short Summary

Pro-ally demonstration. Petrograd (St Petersburg, Leningrad). Russia.

  • Description

Pro-Ally demonstration. Petrograd, (St Petersburg; Leningrad), Russia (Soviet Union).

Believed to be a demonstration in favour of Alexander Kerensky; around the time he was made Minister of War; held in Petrograd (St. Petersburg; Leningrad). Kerensky was the somewhat moderate leader in Russia after the first part of the Revolution; he was later deposed in November 1917.

MS masses of Russian soldiers parading in street; with large banner. Then shot of large square full of Russian civilians; with absolutely miserable weather conditions; like winter - looks like blowing wet snow; coming down really hard.

Pan to right; on more of crowd; many with umbrellas; continue pan; showing banner with slogans stretched overhead. Snow & rain & wind continue.
