    Sir Thomas Courtenay Theydon Warner, 1st Baronet (1857-1934), aka Courtenay Warner, served as Charter Mayor of Walthamstow in 1929. A wealthy landowner, he developed his estates in Walthamstow, Leyton and Woodford from the 1880s until 1930. Warner Estate Ltd was registered by Courtenay Warner in 1891.
