Mountbatten receives the Freedom of the City of London.

Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatten and his wife Edwina arrive at the Guildhall in an open carriage. They get out and shake hands with a dignitary. L/S interior, Mountbatten accepts Freedom of the City on behalf of servicemen who served with him. M/S as he speaks at rostrum saying it was the troops who defeated the Japanese not the atomic bomb.
