    Various shots in quick cut story showing all aspects of London's blitz. A searchlight turns, anti-aircraft guns fire into the night. Various shots of burning buildings with fire hoses playing water on them. Various shots of bombed buildings and devastation. Survivors pick their way through the rubble. More anti-aircraft fire. Shots of people sheltering from bombing raids in Underground stations (some scenes at Aldwych). Voiceover says 'Yes, England can take it'.

    King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (later Queen Mother) visit ruined buildings and streets in London. CU of Queen Elizabeth. Shot of Prime Minister Winston Churchill inspecting damage. Crowds cheer the cigar smoking Churchill as he makes his way through the bombed out streets.

    N.B. Paperwork suggests this is June 1940.
