LS A woman peers from an upstairs window in building hit with bullet marks, she applied to join her children in West Berlin before the wall was erected and will be moving. CU Rear view two men survey the border from upstairs window. He points to where his mother lives in the East. They have been forbidden from waving to one another. CU A woman sobbing by an open window, her whole family lives just on the other side of the wall, but she cannot join them. MS A young boy walking alongside the wall.
