The musicians are all servicemen who played in professional bands before the war. We see C/Us of conductor, Corporal George Beaumont (used to play at Prince of Wales' theatre), the trombonists George Thorn (formerly musician at ABC theatres) and Paul Fenoulhet (previously of Carol Gibbon's band), trumpeters Chick Smith (formerly of Lew Stone's band), Alf Horton (of Harry Roy's band) and Ted Allaby (of Eastbourne Municipal Orchestra), double bass player Jack Purvis (of Jack Harris's band), drummer Jack Dobbs (Oscar Rabin's band), pianist Pat Dodds (Al Collin's Band), guitarists Rube Mason (used to play in Beaumont's band), saxophonists Basil Skinner (also of Beaumont's band), Issy Duman (Carol Gibbon's band) Billy Apps (Lew Stone's band) and Cliff Timms (of Jay Wilbuy band).
