    Walmer, Kent.

    L/S of church bell ringing. Various shots of lifeboat men collecting their kit and going down to boat on beach. The boat is made ready while the crew help each other into their life jackets. Men lay out logs on beach to make slipway into the sea. The crew board the boat, we see them operating switches and levers. C/U of coxswain Fred Upton.     Various L/Ss of an aeroplane releasing a parachute. Attached to the chute is a new type of lifeboat - a dinghy which is unsinkable and self-righting.
