    L/S across the desert of shells landing on far off target. Various shots of gun emplacements in action in the Libyan desert, day and night barrage. Enemy carnage in desert.

    Commentator talks of the recent big reverses suffered by British troops in this area but says "these pictures are too full of the calm fortitude and heroism of the fighting men out there to lapse into criticism... a Briton never recognises defeat - he just goes on fighting".

    Several shots of prisoners being brought in. M/S of General Cruwell, one of Rommel's men, who is one of the prisoners.

    Note: it was confirmed in London on 21.6.42. that Tobruk had fallen.
