    Various shots chain of women passing books from large building - could be library or museum. Various night shots of large building on fire. M/S firemen fixing together hoses. Various L/Ss burnt out large building with First World War memorial in front. M/S Belgian soldier. More shots chain gangs passing books, including civilian men and boy scouts.

    Various shots crowd of cheering people waving American and British flags. There appears to be a burning effigy amongst crowd. M/S army officers - Belgian? Various shots people in crowd ripping up and burning German flags and signs. People dance around the fire. One overexcited woman dances in front of two men trying to set fire to flag - they shout at her. Germans soldiers are marched through city under guard of resistance fighters.

    Various shots parade of Allied Forces army vehicles through city. Group of women surround British motorcycle soldier - they squeeze his face and kiss him, he looks a bit worried! Various shots of army officers (French or Belgian?) greeting civilian dignitary (mayor?) More shots Belgian policemen and resistance fighters.

    Note: the Allies liberated Brussels on 8th September, 1944.
