• Short Summary

Workers of the American Army Post Office distribute mail to GIs in Northern Ireland.

  • Description

    Titles read: "LETTERS FROM HOME".

    Northern Ireland.

M/Ss show men of the American Army Post Office at work, sorting mail for the soldiers from their folks at home. Cut to a large group of soldiers waiting for their mail. Cut back to the post office workers as we see them sorting in speeded-up footage to get the work done quicker! Nice shots of handsome GIs being handed their mail.

One soldier (refereed to as 'Butch') opens his letter, kisses it and whoops (not heard) because it's from his girl in Texas. More shots of post being handed out. Group shot of soldiers waving their letters in the air. C/U of Butch kissing a picture of his girlfriend that he has pinned to a wooden post.
