    M/S of several American schoolchildren walking down a street and onto a ferryboat where Mayor La Guardia stands on board with some Board of Education Officials. Commentator says the idea for 'ferry boats as schoolrooms' came from La Guardia himself.

    The boat moves off over the water, with an instructor pointing out places of interest and the children taking notes and looking at the passing New York skyline. They travel along the East River, passing under Brooklyn Bridge. One boy draws a steel bridge seen in the distance in the industrial area.
