    Next CU US local bigwigs on platform - elderly man making speech; another old veteran in army uniform stands rt. Fg pan across crowd; standing at different levels -children in fg. People walking up road toward camera; starting w/ some of those seen in CUs. Priests; others follow. MS lifeboat on a horse-drawn truck bed; being pulled along street; several men on board;2 ropes extend from behind; w/ lines of girl guides etc.

    Holding onto ropes. CU pan along boat; showing name George Pickard; group of men wearing stocking caps - and life jackets. Group of men talking; standing next to wagon wheel. Pan on people on platform; again; same guy speaking; reading from notes.. Oratory.
