    Various shots of inventors testing eccentric device for deflecting bombs in a field. Device consists of rubbery tentacles attached to spinning disc, various cogs and belts power it. Looks a bit Heath Robinson. Narrator describes it as an "outsize in house mops". The device is only a small model, C/U of diagram of full scale bomb destroyer protecting the Panama canal. The inventors show how it works by throwing stones and firing small bombs. The whirling tentacles explode the missiles before they reach their target.
