A sailor undergoes the rites of Noble and Ancient Order of the Bath watched by King Neptune.

Intertitle - 'tried and proved.' M/S of Neptune sat with his Queen, officers hold a sailor by the arms, one man shouts at him.
Intertitle - 'passing the doctor (after a pill and generous dose of vinegar and sea water!)' M/S of the sailor lying on the table, the mixture is poured down his throat through a giant funnel while Neptune looks on.
Intertitle - 'prepared.' L/S of the sailor in a chair on the boat, people stand around and watch. A man in white uses a giant comb and scrubbing brush to brush the man's hair, Neptune joins in. M/S of him with his head back, shaving foam is put on with a giant brush. A huge cut-throat razor is sharpened by two men. M/S as the man in white uses the razor to 'shave' the man.
Intertitle - 'Thrown to the bears and then for ever one of Ye Olde Sea Dogs.' The sailor is lifted up and thrown backwards into a pool with other men who push him under.
Intertitle - '"I do hereby command that all my Subjects, including mermaids, sharks, dogfish, seaslugs, lobsters and even seasquirts, abstain from eating, tickling or poking Charlie" at any of my initiates.'
