King and Queen of Italy are given a warm welcome on their visit to England.
M/S of policemen trying to stop a crowd of eager onlookers, mainly children, from spilling onto the road from a pavement. M/S of a chauffeur driven car pulling up next to the awning covered entrance of a grand hotel, two high ranking officers step out of the car and salute as King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy gets out, the King takes the arm of his wife and they enter the hotel. Various shots of policemen standing amongst a crowd of waving children.
After a few seconds of white spacing, high angled shot of the King, accompanied by several officers, getting out his car and shaking hands with several official looking men, they go up some steps passing a cheering crowd.
M/Ss of the King and entourage walking around a museum - could be the British Museum. More seconds of white spacing. L/S of the King coming down the steps of a large building with columns (the British Museum?), he gets into his car and drives off, once again passing a cheering crowd.
M/S of the King and Queen getting out of their car, they pass a large crowd before laying a large wreath at the base of a memorial (the Cenotaph?). High ranking officers in ceremonial uniforms salute the King and Queen as they return to their car. M/S of the King and Queen and entourage climbing into their cars.
