    World War One memorials. Statue of Marshal Joseph Joffre is dedicated; in Chantilly; where Marshal J. had his headquarters. French President (1924-31) Gaston Doumergue speaks. Statue is unveiled. A bunch of veterans pose by statue holding flags; also w/ them are some young boys. Group of VIP's watch (poss. incl. J. himself?) CU's base of statue & statue itself. CU another French general; who certainly resembles Marshal Henri Petain. Parade passing by military and government officials; others in crowd. Honours; ceremonies.

    Altering this clip's current date range, the inauguration seen here took place on 21 June 1930.

    "Group of VIP's watch (poss. incl. J. himself?)" - yes, Marshal Joffre was present.

    "CU another French general; who certainly resembles Marshal Henri Petain" - yes, Marshal Petain was present.
