Cuts from newsreel story 46/49 - Tommy Handley and the ITMA gang at the Albany Club.

Some great footage of comedian Tommy Handley with regular actors from his radio show 'It's That Man Again' at the Albany Club. Footage is mute and is obviously mostly out-takes of the gags the group do in the actual story, but there are some good candid shots. Quite rare to see!

Fred Yule and the very dapper Tommy enjoy joke with others. 'Miss Hotchkiss' (Diana Morrison) looks round door with stern glint in eye. Jack Train as Colonel Chinstrap counts up some drinks on the bar. Singer Lind Joyce sits on a stall at the bar with other women. Fred Yule, wearing chef's hat, sits at a table looking at lots of food and licking his lips ('lovely grub' character). Tommy works gag on waiters and chef.

Tommy sits on the sofa with a bevy of girls - among them are Jean Capra and Lind Joyce. Dorothy Summers (Mrs Mopp) leans over the back of the sofa. Tommy does comic business by crossing and uncrossing his legs, then waggling his feet in the air. Script writer Ted Kavanagh and producer Francis Worsley sit at the bar and have a drink - Ted makes face to someone off-camera.

Cataloguer's note: please excuse the lengthy description - I am a big fan, and I think this stuff is very rare, so deserves it!
