    VS a man speaks before the drawing of the Irish sweepstake. Behind him are two rows of women dressed in Roman costume and behind them the great barrel with the tickets in revolves. VS after the barrel has stopped a group of nurses open doors in it and remove winning numbers. They are collected. More numbers are selected by the nurses. The backdrop to the room is of Roman chariot racers.

    The first Irish Sweepstake draws of this kind took place in 1939, though given the location in this clip, (which is possibly, but not certainly, the Royal Dublin Society at Ballsbridge), this draw could be a little later.

    Nevertheless a date range of, say, 1939-41 would seem more likely than the currently given range.
