    Long shot of a crowd lined street, the funeral procession is lead by a band of pipers. Mac Curtain's ( MacCurtain ) coffin is carried on a splendid horse drawn carriage covered in flowers. M/S of the horse drawn hearse. M/S of the mourners marching behind the hearse. Various shots of the crowds in the streets - men, women and children shelter from the rain. There is a feeling of depression and poverty - there a few umbrellas, many of the women wear old fashioned scarves, they look into the camera with serious expressions. A shadow of a man can be seen standing in the back of a truck in the middle of the crowd, the helmets of the Garda can be seen over the heads of the people.

    Although the title card of this piece names this man as Thomas Mac Curtain, the name on his gravestone reads "Tomas Mac Curtain".
