    A slate at 0:03 reveals the cameraman to be S/Lt Shaw, of the Royal Canadian Navy, on board HMCS Prince David on 5 June 1944, (so the cataloguer is correct in assuming that the footage is just prior to D-Day).

    Much more footage of the same event, by the same cameraman, exists in clip 1899.17. Perhaps the two can be united?
