The date of the race is 4 August 1936.

John Fitzroy, the 9th Duke of Grafton, was indeed killed in this race. His badly damaged car, seen after the accident, is a Bugatti.

The winner seen at the end of the clip is Alan Hutchinson, driving an MG PB.
