Metal once used to make furniture is now used to make farming equipment. India.
Back to the land.
A car draws up and a well to do Indian lady dressed in a sari steps out. She enters the office of a furniture designer and he welcomes her. Together they look through the catalogue and she chooses a metal chair for her new room. The manager shakes his head, and we see a steel works where all metal that would have been used in furniture is now being used to make pumps and other farming equipment for cultivation of the land.
Various shots as the pumps are made, L/S as camera pans across them, they are then crated up for delivery. Various shots of ploughs made out of metal, replacing the old wooden ones. M/S as oxen pull them through a field. M/S as the lady accepts this and says goodbye to the manager of the store before leaving.
