Several shots of bombed buildings, smoking debris, firemen working to put out fires. On the Yangtze River we see Chinese planes bombing Japanese Naval ships as they move towards Hankow. Explosions shoot up from the water as bombs are dropped. More shots of buildings burning furiously. Troops moving through the countryside and the flooded waters of the Yangtze. Soldiers firing artillery guns. Flooded streets around the Yangtze; people travelling along in boats and wading through the high waters. Deserted railway station at Hankow (?); water levels reaching railway lines. Refugees on the move; soldiers piling stones against the flood walls to reinforce them.
