  • Short Summary

Fashions are modelled in an unusual location - on board a train.

  • Description

Unusual location for a fashion show - inside a train.

Six models walk along a train station platform. They are all wearing nice hats and overcoats. They chat to an engine driver.

The "mannequins" give a "Pullman Parade" of "Maison Arthur" dresses aboard the train. Passengers look on as the gowns are displayed whilst the train speeds along. Summer hats from "Maison Lewis" are also featured. Nice C/Us of women turning heads to display hats.

Re: your film I found here yesterday and cannot find again.
It was about the Southern Railway "Devon Belle" of 1947 and said it departed from Paddington.
This WRONG the early background building is Waterloo Station.
Also in 1947 (before Nationalisation) the Great Western and Southern Railways were still rivals. So in no way would a famous Southern Railway express go anywhere near the Great Western's Paddington.
Also the Bulleid designed locomotive's livery (Malachite green with gold longitudonal stripes) is correct for the Southern Railway before Natioalisation...........I WAS THERE!
(A preserved sample can be seen on the "Bluebell Railway").
